Spencer is from San Rafael, California. Originally committed to Oregon State, Spencer eventually found his way to Iowa City to become a Hawkeye. He spent 6 years inside the Iowa program backing up Nate Stanley in '18 and '19, Starting at QB in '20, '21, and '22, and assisting in a GA like role this past season in 2023. He now looks to finish his college career at Utah State in one final season. Spencer talks his origins in football, besting Jared Goff's high school records and their relationship, and how he ended up at Iowa. He talks about the adversity of his career including the pandemic, the 2020 Coach Doyle drama, and struggles on the Offensive side of the ball.
